When you were a kid, were there any early activities that might indicate you’d one day become a skydiver?
I was one of those kids that would jump off of anything. That led me to BMX, and eventually to skydiving.

What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
I was about a week away from my first deployment to Iraq when I decided that I better do my first skydive, just in case I never got another chance to.

What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
I’m not really sure. I was terrified, trembling and actually have no memory of my first freefall, but when we landed I felt different, and knew that this was something I had to keep doing.

What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
When my mom drove from Pennsylvania all the way to Oregon, and she let me take her on a jump.

If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
It would be cool to take someone who will never have the opportunity or means to make a skydive. Like a kid from Afghanistan. Someone who would really appreciate it.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about jumping for the first time?
Breathe. Slow time down and stay in the moment.
